How to Rebirth in Hackers Tycoon

Rebirth is the long game in Hackers Tycoon. The official loop is steal, fight, kill bosses, then rebirth to become the strongest hacker and buy permanent items with rebirth points. The reset is the cost. The permanent items are the reason you pay it. If you treat rebirth like a panic button, you will prestige with a full wallet, a half-learned plot, and nothing on the rebirth items list that shortens the next run.

Rebirth is a reset for permanent items

A rebirth wipes the session economy so the next plot starts weaker in cash and stronger in keepers. You trade built droppers for items that survive the next reset. That is why the shop talks about rebirth points instead of keeping your conveyor. Points are the prestige currency. Cash is the current-plot currency. Do not mix them up when the pad lights up.

What you keep is the permanent layer: items purchased with rebirth points, plus whatever the prompt lists as kept. What you lose is the current plot’s buttons and any cash you did not spend. Verify the keep list on the pad before you tap.

After the reset, rebuild in the same income-first order you used on day one. Permanent items should make that rebuild faster. If they do not, you bought the wrong keeper. Rank options on the rebirth items tier list instead of grabbing the first glowing gear.

Saving refund versus rebirth

The experience is tagged [SAVING] because leaving grants a cash refund of your tycoon value. That is leave-safety. It exists so a disconnect, a dinner break, or a server hop does not throw away a built plot. Rebirth is progression. It exists so you can convert a stalled plot into permanent power.

Use the refund when you are done playing and you like the plot you have. Use rebirth when you are ready to throw the plot away on purpose. If you leave, still collect once — refunds cover tycoon value, not always a pile you never pocketed. If you rebirth, collect and then spend, because the reset does not owe you a refund of unspent cash.

The leave button is a seatbelt. Rebirth is the engine. You want both, on different schedules.

Spend cash before you prestige

The last minutes before a prestige are a spend-down. Buy every pad that still raises income or damage. Skip cosmetics — a lamp does not help the next run, and you are seconds from deleting the floor it sits on.

Do not rebirth broke because you got stolen on the way to the pad. Empty the collector, check the other five players, then prestige. A last-minute boss attempt can convert a remainder into a lump only if damage pads exist — see How to Beat Bosses.

When the first rebirth is actually worth it

The first prestige should happen after you can rebuild the early plot with your eyes off the buttons. If you still get lost on your own pad, rebirth just repeats a tutorial you already failed. Income stall is the other signal: when new pads cost more time than they return, the current plot is done teaching you.

You do not need a fully cleared tycoon if the last row is cosmetic. You do need enough rebirth points to buy something that matters. If the first keeper is a tiny income bump, take it and get back to the loop. If it is a combat toy you cannot use because you never learned steal, skip the flex and read Steal and PvP before you prestige again.

Later rebirths follow the same rule: keepers should shorten the time to the next stall. Recheck the rebirth items list after every prestige. Boss loot is an accelerator only when damage is funded — align a spawn with a spend-down, not a random wander.

The leave refund lets you stop whenever you want. Rebirth is still the engine if you care about the strongest-hacker pitch. Spend, reset, rebuild, and let keepers do what cosmetics never will.
